2003 TJ - Changed front rocker gasket - Now wont start

The connector near the fuel rail is ok.

Currently reading up on how to get the ECU error codes.

correct. Weird. Which light was flashing?

Have you checked the ignition output? (Pull front plug lead, put old plug in, crank. look for spark.)

Engine light flashing when connected.

I do that on the sigma. And with its quad coils makes it easy to track. Was hesitant on doing it on the Magna but as suspected no spark.

The general wisdom on this forum is that no spark, yet no error codes, means there is a problem with the distributor. I would be tempted to check it - distributor cap centre button, ignition coil resistance measurement - or replace it with a second hand one.

Unless someone can chime in and suggest something else that could be the problem?

Second hand one installed today. All working fine again. Will fix the old one so as to have a spare on hand.
